This is an adventure story, a tale of entrepreneurship and a life long romance. Reading this book is a reminder of what the human spirit can accomplish despite what life hands someone. Tristan had choices and this story is about what he did.
Tristan was born of a well-to-do family in Cornwall. It sounds like a good start to a life except for the strife within the family which would cause any child to despair but only hardened the resolve of Tristan's unbreakable spirit. This spirit brought him through many obstacles and only fueled his resolve to live life to the full.
Living life fully. Living life on the edge, in business, sports and love It's a fascinating story that reads like fiction. But it's not. I have met the man and his wife briefly while hiking in the San Juan mountains in Colorado. He is a humble man full of stories though they certainly do not come out as bragging.
Until I read this book, I had just a glimpse of Tristan's accomplishments. Amazing. He turned the money that he inherited as a young man into a successful business that supported his passion for adventure and life.
I don't want to be a "spoiler" and tell you the story. The story tells itself.
I totally recommend this book.
THIS IS A EXICITING LIFE STORY OF A VERY DECIATED MAN AND HIS FAMILY, ONE THAT KEEPS YOUR INTREST FROM PAGE ONE, A REAL PAGE TURNER, MAKES MOST OF OUR LIVES SEEM MUNDANE BY COMPARISON.
Despite a rather mixed up childhood, Tristan always seemed to know where
he wanted to go and how to get there. He was a solid businessman and was
able to take time out for adventurous travels with his family.
His sailing and hiking trips are at times awesome. I think many readers
may envey him.
